Customs and Excise (Prohibition of Imports Made by Child Labour) Amendment Bill

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1. Title
This Act is the Customs and Excise (Prohibition of Imports Made by Child Labour) Amendment Act 2009.

2. Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it received the Royal Assent.

3. Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to prohibit the importation of goods made in whole or in part by child labour.

4. Principal Act Amended
This Act amends the Customs And Excise Act 1996.

5. Schedule 1 Amended
Schedule 1 of the Principal Act is amended by appending the following:

Goods manufactured or produced wholly or in part by child labour
