Ban Jumps Racing

Australia is currently debating the future of "jumps racing" - the horseback equivalent of the hurdles, already banned in most states on animal welfare grounds - after a spate of nasty accidents in Victoria killed four horses (more news here).

The sport is still legal in New Zealand. A bill could to change that could be adapted from one of the Australian measures.
